Getting Started with Buckety
Install the Chrome Extension
First, install the Buckety extension from the Chrome Web Store. Click the button below to go to the extension page.
Add to ChromeOn the Chrome Web Store page, click "Add to Chrome" and then "Add extension" in the popup to confirm.
Open the Side Panel
After installation, you'll see the Buckety icon in your Chrome toolbar (top-right corner of the browser).
To open Buckety:
- Look for the Buckety icon in your Chrome extensions toolbar
- Click the icon to open the Buckety side panel
- The side panel will appear on the right side of your browser window
Tip: If you don't see the icon, click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin Buckety for easy access.
Create Your Account
When you open the side panel for the first time, you'll be prompted to create an account or sign in.
To create an account:
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for a magic link
- Click the link to sign in automatically
No password needed! We use secure magic links to keep your account safe and sign-in simple.
Start Using Buckets
Now you're ready to organize your browsing! Here's how to use buckets:
Creating a Bucket
Click "New Bucket" to create a new bucket. Give it a name that describes what you'll collect in it (e.g., "Vacation Ideas", "Recipe Links", "Work Resources").
Adding Items to a Bucket
While browsing any webpage, open the Buckety side panel and click on the bucket where you want to save the current page. The page title and URL will be automatically saved.
Organizing Your Items
Drag and drop items within a bucket to reorder them. You can also move items between buckets or delete items you no longer need.
Sharing Buckets
Want to collaborate? Share your buckets with others by clicking the share button. You can invite people via email and choose whether they can view or edit the bucket.
